Well this will put my project back awhile...

Well i just installed my clutch master and slave. I pushed on the pedal to test it out and got a little resistance and "click" pedal goes straight to the floor. well after looking into the problem i found this:

peephole in the back of the transmission:

Looks to me like the fork is no longer attached to the release bearing. How did this happen!!! @#$%!!!

has anyone ever successfully re-attached them without removing the transmission or the engine? (Serious question)

This is how close i was:

As a man, am i allowed to cry?

Only under the following situations:

1.) You smash your thumb with a 2# hammer.

2.) You spill your Shiner Bock Blonde.

if it came unattached then it wasn't installed properly. nobody to blame but yourself.

pull the trans and fix it...it isn't that big of a deal.

SO?

I sent a pm to the op in hopes of getting an update on this thread, and for other people who have the same poblem to find a fix.

I had the same problem, clutch fork popped out... I was wondering if you can fix this w/o pulling the transmission?

save yourself the hassle and headache of trying to figure out how to by not pulling and do it right by pulling. in the long run you'll thank yourself for "doing it right"

I posted this thread before i actually looked into my problem. I removed the clutch master and slave together from my original shell to swap into the new one. I didn't install it immediately, so at some point it was moved around and air got into the line. So it wasn't the clutch fork it was me being a whiny little !@#$% and assuming all was lost with my project. I just had to bleed the line one more time. Car is officially on the road now, it even passed emissions first try!

K-tune i never got around to it but your a !@#$, and asterisk i agree with Shun
