Well, there's one cool thing about CP Racing Headlights

I've had a bit of a tussle with CP Racing over my headlights. Fitment issues, brackets, missing hardware, **** like that, but I at least got them bolted down and wired up (re-wired by my friend and I). I finally got them to turn on (recieved ***-backwards wiring instructions, blew two headlight fuses figuring that out), and BOY are these things bright. I still have to re-crimp the high-beam wires (or at least I think they're high-beams, judging by how the lights that are working look).

But on to the cool thing about these lights - after you switch them off, the gases inside the headlights are still excited, so for a few minutes after they're switched off, your headlights will glow BLUE-GREEN. Personally I think it's really cool looking, and after I get these babies fully and properly installed (when I'm not sleep-deprived and ****, and when I get the gaps glassed in and re-painted and oh my god this is a pain in the ***), I think they'll look REALLY good. Anyways, enjoy the pics.

I have no idea why they do this, they don't draw any electricity, I imagine gases inside the headlight housing are still bouncing around...it's been 15 minutes and there's still a faint glow from them...

And if you want to know what they look like with the lights off, it's not bad. I only think the look will work on S4s because they have the black trim. Otherwise, get the FG housing painted to match.

I dunno, I could be completely wrong and there could be something screwed up about them, but it's sorta neat for now.

A little pricey aren't they? Would you say that they are worth the money?

If the quality was higher (better fiberglassing, no imperfections in lexan, and smooth installation), I'd say they're for sure worth the money. Each headlight assembly weighs about 4 lbs. That'll save you like 20-30lbs. Pick up a stock headlight, it's damn heavy. The motors aren't so bad, but still, weight is weight, especially if it's at the very front of your car.

However, considering my issues with CP Racing, poor instructions, and not the greatest build quality, I'd have to say no, just get the Rotary Extreme bumper to save weight.

Well, the thing is if you want to change to superwhite bulbs, you can, because it uses H3 bulbs instead of enormous halogen housings.

Can you take a side view shot? I've always wondered how they line up with the contours of the bumper. I like them, I'd just be scared that as soon as I install them I'd run into something and rip them up (stock headlight assemblies are easy and cheap to find).

Oh, and about the glowing thing, I've noticed regular tube TVs do that too, freaks me out at night.

lights look pretty good, but the way they fit on the car just look like ***, if they didnt flow down the front of the bumper and take the FTP lens places it wouldnt look half bad, like dltreezans should look much better, just takes up the top part where the metal cover would be.

good job though, ive heard lots of bad things about CP racing with instructions/fitment issues on several of their products.

Cool lights...I was planning to get those in near future. They are much cheaper than what other manufacturers are asking.

Did someone mention that somebody on the forum is making a setup like this? If so then I would be interested in that. But I too have heard far too many complaints about CP Racing to every buy a product from them.

Dude, is it just me or is the hoodscoop offset to the drivers side?

The blue glow is pretty damn cool

yea, dltreezan makes a set that fits in place of the stock lights, fits VERY well with the lines of the car still, doesnt look bad at all. you can search for his posts on the lights, he made one recently with install pics and beam's, and he has a website www.rx7pro.com

Those headlights just look very weird, though they are better than CP. And all of the stock scoops are offset.
