Dropped a pissbucket of compression.



Managed to limp home with a bogging engine (idling ~100rpm, bouncing all around), black smoke pluming from the tail...aaaaah ****.

Just for ***** and giggles, I'll mention that I wasn't accelerating at all, more or less a light load cruise, matched with the fact that I just replaced the clutch a mere ~500 miles ago...

Right around 120,000 (about less than 70 miles over that number).

 

that sucks, was it the stock motor by any chance?

 

Yup, original motor from hiroshima circa ~1990.
