Removed the power steering and bracket
Removed the rat's nest
Removed the BAC
sub-zero start bottle/solenoid
extra pullies on the main taken off
I am in the middle of the TB mod
and might try to port the spare intakes i have
I have ordered teh dual alt pully from fc3s.org and wil recieve it soon(i hope) I am also stilll looking for an S-AFC (Used or new) if anyone has one PM me.
other than PR sleeves and a K&N intake what can I do? simple stuff though. is till need the car to be useable after a day or two(since I still have school and work) I don't have much cash though so I am looking for freebe mods or mods under 60 dollars. The other mods I have are in my sig below. If you all have an ideas/comments or questions please post. Thanx

Not one of those e-bay ones! Teehee. Anyway, seriously, if you want some long-hour weight reduction, there's much to be removed from behind the dash (such as the AC unit, heavy *** thing!) You may be able to find a used MSD 6A for under $60 (I did on the forum), that's always a good addition.

Haven't we ALL heard this
Hum, under 60 bones?
Lets see.....
Ok.....
1. Some sort of custom intake
2. Cold air feed to a box around the filter
3. Suspension - The other kinda fast
4. Braided brake lines (over 60 but still cheapish)
5. Water injection
6. Play with timing (Dont know how do that but it sounds good)

Why the hell would you remove the power stearing pump without changing the rack? Waste of time if you ask me! As for the MSD thing, why waste the money?
Why not save up and fit a after market ECU to the car? The standered coil packs are more than good enough!
A Mirco-Tech LT-8 with handset and loom is only $1080 Aus. Cheap as chips!!! Works out to be about $500US...
Dont mean to be rude, but I wouldnt be doing anything to this car untill you can afford it. Cause if it breaks how the hell are you gonna fix it? Once you start doing mods and making any car perform faster then things are bound to break! trust me I know all to well!
Just my 2 cents worth... But then again, Im just a crazy aussie... :p

Need to do some research on the manual rack and p/s rack......
If your really looking for speed man, get an everyday driver, then boost it or cut it up to **** and remove every little stupid thing on the car to save weight, like your radiator, gas tank, etc.
Removing all that crap wouldnt be necessary if you found a easier way to make power...pssssssssssttttttt shhhhh.... but that requires lots of $$.
I'm pretty maxed out on my car for things I can do that I believe will really be worth performance gains (w/out engine porting, etc).

Well James and all-
1-I have the CF cold air box that I bought here and I have the cone filter but no adapter that will hold up. JASON if you see this answer my question do you have it in stock?
2- I am probably going to start working on the ducts soon but i'll need that hole say thing or a lot of cutting wheels for my dremel.
3-Well I don't know how to work on the suspension side of my car and I kinda wanted to go all the way with some coil-overs instead of just springs and shox
4- I don't reallya have the cash for stainless braided brake lines right now with the bill for summer tuition comming up fast I do have a stainless clutch line tho
5-like you told me I don't know what kind of gains if any that would give an N/a or how to set it up
6-I am an idiot about timing and don't want to make my car go boom.
If anyone els can add to my thread please do I have the addiction on DIY mods right now and want to get as much done before I get over it or get tired. Thanx again.

oh yeah....i agree with keeping the ps rack. I had ps in my 240sx and i just caped it off and it works just fine. No need to fix what's not broke - by our standards anyway

Take it easy guys.. ****, i was only putting sum input to the situation here. Manual racks are cheap as.. Like I could drive over to a mates workshop and pull one out for you if you want. :p
As for saving weight, **** it, remove everything from the car, ****, why not even take as many panels off as you can? Remove the glass as well, Im sure it is heavy. Just use sum glad wrap in its place or wear sun glasses when driving!
the reason I sujested an after market ECU was so you wouldnt have to worry about all this other stuff with the AFC. Then you would be able to just gut the whole engine bay to nothing.
Power stear rack's can have a tendency to colapse after awhile , that is why the invented non power stear as well. Im sure if you hunt around long enough you might find one at a good price.
hey look, Im not the richest person in the world either, my car was done on a tight **** budget, but in the long run, taking short cuts only costs you **** loads more.
When doing my car up I had a collection of parts sitting around for ages , I bought things as I could afford them. Then once I had everything I needed I put it all in.
Maybe I will keep quiet now.....
Hey, at the end of it, as long as your happy with your car good luck to you man.. happy rotoring...

Well I plan to actually get a manual rack after a while but for now this is ok. I will try and get my engine bay clean so you all can see what is left I think the only stuff left is the cruise control and the thermowax. Oh an the fan shroud. I don't mean cheap **** I just mean stuff that does not cost a lot of money. I wand quality stuff but I am waiting on the expensive mods for now ya know. I am trying ot get all the less expensive stuff done. I am sorry I snapped man I just took that hard cuz you don't really know me and I do car about the healt of my car but I also want performance.

I need the spare and jack I could get a flat ya know.
I probably will get rid of the rear carpet but not the bins since I carry some stuff with me: coolant, two stoke oil, some tools JIC and food. lol
EDIT: I don't think my girls will like having to sit on the carpet. so the seat stays yo.

Burp...
* Rob feels the love *
No problemo... I was just about to fly over and beat the **** outa your *** with a rotor housing!
Just a little thing I found with my car, I took off my clutch fan and replaced it with a 16 inch thermo fan. I found because there was no shrowed around the thermo fan it tended to make the car run heaps hotter.
I ended up saving the moneys and buying a new clutch centre and putting the normal fan back on. Even with the clutch fan on the car it dosent hinder me making over 300rwHP.
Even one of the guys that I know with well over 400rwHP in his ser 3 running a 10.3 sec 1/4 mile he dosent have any probs running a normal fan. Just about every rotor I know that my mates own all run with the std fan/ shrowed set up.
Cheers,
Rob.

The fuel pump was if you have an aftermarket one. From what i believe the NA's don't need to otherwise.
The basic principle is at wot you want to make sure your pump is getting at least 12v.
Wires get corroded and reduce voltage to the pump sometimes.
Another cheap mod is re-grounding - you prolly did already though.
before i regrounded i could'nt hear my injectors clicking. After the ground i can hear them loud as day (they are brand new). It also didn't shudder as bad at idle. The low end was also improved (complete spark)
