Man, sorry to hear about your engine. I was wondering in the back of my mind about that blow by problem we had talked about. Mine has seemed to stabilize.

Did you run premix on the engine?

The metal flakes...do they stick to a magnet?

I would flush out that oil cooler because it could have been sitting in a sandy area...you just never know.

Well what really sucks is that I had a set of RA apex seals and 6 mazda side seals in my van and now they are gone I guess I'll just stick with the RA seals I had in there and buy 12 new side seals at 100 and some odd dollars. Not sure if the metal flakes stuck to a magnet or not just know they where long and shiney. Anyways thanks for the input and sorry, I just didn't get to the motor last night, will try tonight. It's at a buddies house.
