I welded the diff mount in my 7 into one solid piece after I kept snapping them.

Use the oem rubber thingy as a guide to set up the two steel pieces. Stick whatever steel you want between them and weld it up. I used an arc welder.

Just be sure to keep the two steel pieces of the mount lined up (to one another) the same way they would be if the rubber piece was in there.

Don't worry about that - you don't have to be that precise. And it's not like anyone's ever going to see it. Just make sure it's solid.

I can't tell from here.

If you want to know if it's solid, whack the hell out of it with a hammer. Did it stay together. Then it ought to hold up after you install it.

Dude, it's Conan time. Weld the hell out of it and put it in. If it breaks, take it out and weld it more. It's a pretty simple thing.
