weird tranny squeak/squeal...?

I get this weird squeak/squealing, a cyclical noise, like it's recurring over and over again... but it only happens when i'm in gear and not on the gas... when i'm on the gas, even lightly, it seems to go away, but as soon as i let off the gas it starts squealing again... i have no idea what it is. any help would be appreciated...

Is it like a clicking squeaking noise that you hear in reverse or when downshifting also. Mine did that until I had the driveshaft redone. The needle bearings in the u-joint went bad.

Put it on a lift or jackstands & have a close look at the front & rear dirveshaft U-joints.
Has all the grease slung off?
Any rust dust deposits on the joints?
With the tranny in neutral, turn the driveline & check it all.
