When I idle at a stop light, a strange high pitch ping can be heard. I got out today at home, left the car runnung, and walked around her. As best I can figure, it is coming from under the car, from the driver side. I think it might be my heat shield or something, I just can't figure it out! Any suggestions?

 

when you rev it at a stop does it stop? If so its obviously something just lose, do you have access to gettin it up on some jackstands or something to crawl under her and see? It dosent sound to serious, more annoying. I bet its you heat shield, but from the driver side?hmmmmm..................

 

It does stop when you rev the engine. It really just comes from under the car everywhere... I think it is the heat shield. I will check it out...

 

Its gotta be the shield, mine use to rattle like a ************, so i just bent the **** out of it a little, good luck-and happy bending
