I thought I'd do what that guy did and draw a pic as my cam bats are dead

it looks like it went below the radio, I got a aftermarket deck that has space below and I found this part and it fills up ALMOST all of the gap but it dosnet seem like its supposed to go here

 

are you talking about the little cubby hole under the radio? If so when you installed the radio, did you purchase the installation kit? That kit came with a piece that can be used as a space or block off plate.
