Weird Metallic Clincking sound on Deceleration???

I just noticed a weird sound in my vert today. It is coming from outside of the car and when the load is taken off the engine (like when foot is taken off the gas and it is decelerating itself in 2nd) I hear what I can only desribe as some sort of metallic chatter noise coming from the outside front of the car (seemingly on both sides)
HAd anyone ever heard such a noise from their car> It is buggin me a lott however I dont think it is happening all the time (after some spirited driving around some corners) I dont think I could hear the sund anymore.
Help!
thanks

Long shot....

I'm not familiar with the fc suspension, so if this is not applicable don't flame me. My Triumph had a similar issue, and it turned out to be a u-joint that had popped a circlip on an outer rear wheel. Only made the noise on decel, and went away when I got back on the throttle. However, you don't have u-joints on the front, only on the back and in the driveline.....

could be any number of things, check the front sway bar end links first, that's easy enough to do.

I have the same problem except that it happens to me a lot more frequently.... like i will rev up my RPM's at a full stop and while the RPM's are dropping... i get the same noise under my car... its not only when i am gearing down...
