Weird Idle symptom
I would have to say this is relative to removing the rats nest. It happened after it. I have yet to figure out what I did wrong though.
I have only 2 vac lines that I can think of at the top of my head. Besides the boost sensor ones. I have the twin scroll and the vac line going from fuel rail to the upper intake now. Got rid of the solanoid. People said I will have hard warm starts but I havnt seen anything effected yet.
Anyways my idle will bounce once it hits about 1600rpms. It bounces 1600-1300/1600-1300, up and down. I can do it whenever i want just by slowy reving it to that rpms and then it will start bouncing. At first I thought it was the BAC valve because it did it all the time with that. I blocked it off for now to see if that was the problem and it went away. It didnt actually go away, but my rpms went down to about 1100. Below 1600 where it starts the bouncing. But recently I noticed I can make it bounce anytime. So I dont think its the bac valve.
I have checked over and over the engine to see if something was hooked up incorrectly, but after looking at many threads It seems everything it hooked up right. Right now I have the TB off and going to double check everything again, and going to make sure my TB is all set to factory settings. (butterflys and such). I am sure its a little off.
What could cause this kind of bouncy idle?

Vac leaks/ecu fuel cut, maybe?
Seal her up real good with a thin layer of RTV at the questionable gaskets when going back together with everything, see if that helps...

Some people have had problems removing the BAC. Ask Kenteth The vac line off the fuel rail is the FPR and is supposed to go into the nipple on the inside of the LIM (the nipple angled towards the firewall). With it hooked up like this you shouldnt have any hard starting problem. I think you have a vac leak also.

Yah thats what i ment about the fpr vac line. going to the crooked nipple. i just havnt looked at it for awhile and couldnt remember exactly. Well thats what im going to do now is redo all the gaskets and add a little rtv to make sure there sealed good. I assume I have some intake leak somewhere because my boost maxs out at about 10 now in like 40degree weather. When it use to be about 14 in 70degree weather, so something obviously has changed. I just didnt think that would cause some kind of idle problem at that specific rpm.
I will let you all know how it goes. thanks
