Weird Idle Problem

Hey guys/gals. Having a problem here. My car is having some issues with the idle. There are days that the car will idle at 800 rpm, then other days at 1500, 1700, 2000. Other days it will hit all of the above in a single day. I have checked for vacume leaks and have not been able to find anything. Any ideas?

You can find some useful info and guides in the Community Service Manual project too. I'll link to some useful ones for you:

fuel and emissions -> system overview -> idle system overview
fuel and emissions -> maintenance -> TPS adjustment
fuel and emissions -> maintenance -> idle speed and AFR adjustment

First things firs when encountering any idle problem is to test and set the TPS. Get that set rock solid. Then ground (or short) the initial set connector and set the idle to 700-800. If this can't be done then you've got some other issues affecting idle (most likely vacuum leaks). Idle issues seem to be the most common complaint with these cars.
