Weird idle. Possible misfire?
Weird idle. Possible misfire?
So I took my 87 RX7 FC to a friend of mine to look ta the A/C and get it recharged. He hooked up the machine and he told me that it was actually over charged with Freon. I didnt think anything of it but then I told him how my AC would casue my engine to die since it wasnt putting out enough RPMs at idle.
He adjusted this little spring next to my throttle and the idles seemed to change a little bit. But it didnt stay like that after i shut off the engine. He finished unhooking the stuff and i started up my engine again and all of a sudden it was jumping while in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. I know there is something wrong with it so I tried to readjust the spring to see if that would fix it but that did nothing.
The car drove fine before getting it tweeked a little bit.
What could be the possible problem?
Info:
The day before I hooked up new plugs (7s leading 9s trailing) and I connected the plugs back correctly.
Could this be an issue? I dont think so but i figured id ask.

The screw which was probably adjusted would have been the TPS screw which changes the voltage of the Green/Red wire w/key to on so w/the engine as hot as it can get the screw needs to be adjusted to 1 volt w/key to on.
How do I determine 1 volt? Would I just use a multimeter somewhere? And does the engine need to be on when I do this or just the key in the on position?
