my 88 gxl was running good on the new rebuild until today. now every time i drive, there is hardly any power up to about 3000-3200 rpms, then it kicks back in to normal power. it makes driving a little scary when its wet out and i have an lsd. any ideas what could be causing this?

 

check your ground connections.

 

any particular ones? or can i half-*** it and just run a few new ones?

 

would that couse loss of power throughout all rpms and not just a certain range?

 

well, replaced the ground closest to the injectors, and it actually fixed the problem. now to do the rest of the grounds... back to my previous question, why would that only happen below 3k rpms and not above?

 

nevermind the last post. it seemed to run good at first, but now its sort of back to where it was. i can accelerate and engine power seems to hesitate, then go to normal, hesitate, normal, ect. each cycle of normal and hesitation seem to last about 2-4 seconds each. i had to drive it like that for about 15 miles on the freeway. after getting back on the streets, the car stalled at a light. it took a few minutes of cranking it to get it to start up again. im stumped on this one
