Weird, full power, then half power problem in my 87 TII.

Just started this pretty recently. Ive replaced and checked a bunch of things and not sure what else to try. Here is what is happening. In the mornings, the car will kind of hesitate and sputter when I rev it...not revving it to the max either. Then to get the car to acclerate cleanly without bogging, I have to ride the clutch and pedal the gas a bit. Same thing if its been sitting at work all day, when I go to go home. Now if I stop at a store or something for awhile, the car is a completely different animal when I crank it again. It revs fast, sounds like it should, doesnt sputter when I rev it and puts me back in the seat on acceleration. Whatever is wrong has also shot my gas mileage in the ***. Anyone have any ideas on what the heck is happening? This is VERY annoying. Thanks for the help.
Jeremy

Doesn't sound like its warmed up properly. Maybe check the BAC adjustment? thermowax? TPS?

A lot of cars respond well to refreshing the engine bay or CPU grounds...

I went out earlier tonight and let it warm up for about 15 minutes. I revved the engine and it had that small sputter still. I turned it off for about 10 or 15 minutes then went back out and cranked it again. Revved fast and pulled hard...I love driving the car when its right. Just sucks ta hell when its running like sheet. It will only run good for a few minutes it seems and then...back to running bad. Dont get me wrong, when its running bad, its not like its a complete dog. It just isnt 100%. Is there anyway the water thermo sensor could cause this?
