weird A/F readings after installing gauge

After installing my autometer AF gauge, I got some pretty strange readings on it compared to other cars I have seen. After letting the car warm up, it does not cycle at idle, it just sits at stoich. When I give it gas, it reads lean, then when I take my foot of the gas, it disappears into lean. After 5 second or so, then it goes back to stoich. While driving, at WOT it read stoich, never got into rich.

WTF? Bad O2 sensor? Has anybody gotten weird readings like this before?

I never got readings like these. At Idle, It shows Rich. At WOT It show Rich again. During crusing, It shows the usual array of Christmas lights.

Remember, It's only a O2 Voltmeter. Perhaps the Install of the gauge revealed that your O2 Sensor Is on It's way out. Thats my guess anyway...try replacing It and see what you find.

Where did you hook up the signal wire too? If you hooked it up to the wire coming right off the o2 sensor that is your problem. That is a sheilded wire and will give you weird results. Your best bet is to wire it into the ecu wire if you havent already.

I tapped Into the ECU for all my wires using 3 way connectors.

I was the person that did the wiring, its definitely the right wire, I tapped into it at the ECU just like in that pic. This leads me to believe the o2 sensor is dead.

Also I used the very left plug, top left pin for power of the A/F Ratio.

I had an autometer a/f gauge. Im not a big fan of it. I sold it, and the guy who bought it from me told me it was broken. I never noticed. Anyway, he sent it off and they fixed it for him. Id call them.
