Weird Car Troubles.. T2

Ok i was driving the car and everythign was fine.. i get lots of popping in my exhaust but always had that.. the car seemed like it was detonating a little bit and i noticed the tack started jumping around a little bit like a blown ignitor.. i thought this was weird so i decided to head home.. on the way home i noticed the temp gauge was a lot lower then normal hmm weird i thought.. ok so i kept driving then the car started bucking and dies on the side of the road.. attempting to start the car it would click and everything just not start.. the rad seemed hot like usual while driving just not registering on the temp gauge? ok what is wrong? the car wont start.. it makes the clicking noise a bit and was running perfect and just did this? any ideas?

Compression check? That's call I really can say for ya buddy... i donno, maybe check your plugs and wires. Or maybe a vacuum line came lose? Does it turn over?

Yup...That doesnt sound positive. I would check compression.

hmm that would be weird why it would die all of a sudden with not much notice.. it has the signs of a possible ignitor failure and if its totally gone it shouldnt start.. if the engine was blown.. it would still turn over just not start.. this engine does not make an attempt to start.. its makes the clicking noise and just doesnt wanna go.. thanks for the help so far.. it was compression checked just a little bit ago and came out 120 100 all is well..

DOnt matter...The rotary will fail at any time. Sometimes people drive home fine, next morning they cant get the car to run, cause the motor is blown.

Plus if one of your ignitors (which I doubt since there are 4 of them) failed, the car would still run.

Heh... an engine with 3 blown seals will start and idle. And the car will run on 2 plugs. Probably would run on just the leading on the front rotor if you wanted it to.

thanks guys..

i would get it compression tested if it would wanna catch and turn over.. i think that is the prob right now.. when turning the key i can hear clickclickclickclick really fast.. but engine will not move.. problem with starter?

i had to do with starter or alternaotr

this happend to my dads car he used to just take the handel of a screw driver and tap it a couple times and it would start. [it wasent an FC tho]

the alternaor would be the result of a dead battery all the time so my best but is the starter

try and move it around alittle or tap it with something that for some reason works but dont use it as an excuse not to get a new one
