Weights of NA vs TurboII?!!
My friend and I both weighed our cars the other day on a truck weight scale. His 87 NA with him in it, weights in at 1190kg. He has a base model NA with no options in it. My 87 TII with me in it weights in at 1360kg. I got everything in mine, except air conditioning. I'm only 15 lbs heavier then him. Why in the hell is my car 300lbs heavier then his? I mean, I know I got turbo and the options in mine, but does that really ADD up to 300lbs all together?!! Is there anything I can take out of the car to save weight? (we both already took out our spares & tools)

Did you see how much fuel you both had before checking? If his was near empty and yours near full that could make a huge dif! Otherwise I think the T2's weigh 2850 LBs not sure about the na's but yes its less. But just be glad its you that has the T2!

The listed curb weight of an 87 TII is 2850 lbs. That's only 5 off of what turboedRX-7 said. That is 1292 kg. The list weight for an 88 N/A (I couldn't find the 87 N/A, even though I'm using the same book, go figure) is either 2625 lbs. or 2645 lbs. It's 20 lbs. heavier if it is a 2+2. That equates to either 1190 kg or 1199 kg. So, that's a list difference of 225 lbs. The fuel gauge would be a good place to check for the discrepancy. Plus you said you're 15 lbs heavier, so you might have your discrepancy right there.

Yeah, I have the 2+2 TII as well. Both our gas tanks were close to the same level (about 1/4 tank). And my friends NA, has like no options in it at all, not even power steering or anything.
