wear marks on inermediate housing?

hey y'all,

Im trying to rebuild my spare engine for my 86 na. (my first rotary rebuild).
What need to know is are there supposed to be wear lines (probably from the oil seals) on my intermediate housings? I know this is a stupid question, but the book i have (Chilton -don't buy it!) sort of hints that this is normal as long as the rest of the housing is within tolerances.
Is this bullshit and if so can i get the damn thing milled or what?
Thanx

As long as they arent deeper than 2-4 thousenths. Other wise ya they should be resurfaced. But ya its normal they all do it.

Quick & dirty - as long as it doesn't catch your fingernail...
