Yeah except you have to replace the element in Apex'i Intakes every time they get clogged. They are "zero" maintenance because you throw the filter away.

i have a weapon R filter on my car and i like it....foam filters catch more then the simple K&N filters.....the short ram is stupid do not get it unless u dont have the adapter which connects to ur maf....otherwise just buy the filter..... thats a old engine bay pic but in the bottom left corner is my dragon filter.....i like it and it made a differencve on catching dirt...etc compared to the cotton filters....they use foam filters in dirt racing....n e who thats my opinion....

weapon r products in my opinion are garbage, I had on for my old car. It looked like a blind man with arthritis welded it. Not to mention they forgot almost all the hoses i needed. Then when i called them about it. They put me on hold, or the person i needed to speak to was on lunch , or didnt even pick up the phone. it took almost a solid week to finally talk to Leo who i guess is the head guy and finally he helped me out. Not good customer service

that's your opinion...

I don't want to start this arguement again but I still think if you have an S5 that the apex-i is the best by far.

not like it really makes all that difference though...

it's reusable...........

what do you guys think of this:

for a TII

get an aluminum TID and install the STOCK airbox but do not attach the top of it (where it says Mazda).......then cut a hole right above it (ON THE HOOD) and install either a HUGE scoop (similar to a TII scoop but MUCH smaller) or install some Z3-like vents to get cold air in there.......

K&N or Bonez (unless they are the same?) are my choice. Weapon R just sucks. HKS' foam element just doesn't reassure me, and anything else just seems cheap (other then Apexi, but thats one expensive filter! Its good, but K&N could be just as good for a third of the cost).

But its your choice to use, its a matter of opinion.

And FYI

That article is bullshit whoever wrote that is getting by Apex'i
