Oh, yeah! I forgot to mention. I hope to be there with my "GXL-II" If it's not finished by then, I will still be there in my '88 n/a. Hell, if I'm real lucky, I'll have a freind of two wanna come and I could try to bring both cars!

I will be coming from St. Louis for sure, sounds like a good time. Now what does the 45 dollars all include? How much is the hotel, dinner, and drag racing?

We are looking into an answer on the convertible roll-bar issue. At this time it does not look like you will need one for the autocross, but we are not sure on the road course.

As for people from the southeast. We are planning a caravan from SC that you could hook into.

More information will come out on caravans as we get closer to the event.

Guess what's coming to the Revolution all the way from San Diego, CA...

Three custom FC3s drift cars, and I've been forewarned that they plan on tearing up the autocross!

Here's a copy of the thread I just posted in the SE Forum Area.

Carolina Caravan to the Rotary Revolution

Ok, the information is early and sketchy, but I do have a tentative caravan setup that would start out from the University of Clemson (or nearby) to this year's Rotary Revolution event.

One of the (upcoming announcement) sponsors is going to head-up the caravan, and we'll post more information here on when you should be there, and when the caravan will leave.

Also, we'll post a route they will take and a contact phone number so you can hook into the caravan as they pass by your city.

Yes, you will need a helmet. There is a thread in the Rotary Revolution forum area here:
https://www.rx7club.com/rotary-revolution-archive-114/

There is also a lot of info over on the MI clubs website:

WOOT!!! I wonder if they'll give anyone a ride. I'd like to see how they operate the car up close while drifting.

Ok so if I bring a guest with his Miata, and let him drive my car in some autocross and drag runs, how much would he pay to get in? Also, I can't find any info on whether you need a helmet for autocross?

I can handle this question. If you register and pay before February 29th it will be $45 for you/car and $20 for your guest. Grand total: $65.

I'll have to double check the video from last year on the autocross helmets (can anyone who attended last year help me out?). I worked the whole time so I didn't even get to drive the course!

You will need the helmet for the drag strip, so if you are planning to drag you'll have one with you. Also, it's your car, if you want your friend to drive it that's fine with us.

In every autocross event I've ever attended you had to wear a helmet.

As of the time of this post we have 19 2nd gens registered, only two behind the 3rd gens who are at 21!

Great job guys, can't wait to meet everyone in April (especially since it's -15 outside with the windchill and snowing/sleeting right now).

$45 covers drag racing, autocross, seminars and three meals. Hotel is separate. There is a caravan coming from the Metro Detroit area, one from Chicago, and there are probably a few people near K-zoo.

Try putting a post in the Rotary Revolution forum area about finding people along your route to meet up.
