what next how to paint the valve cover gasket on a 12at. hahha
there is a big difference between a lit cig and a piece of steel heated several hundred degrees. AND, I attended a funeral of a poor soul who infact was welding on a diesel oil pan with it full of oil - CLOSED CASKET.

Question answered, thread now useless. Closing.

But one tip: If you have a welder, you can almost always weld a good nut onto a stripped one and then just unscrew as normal. The heat from welding breaks the stuck bolt free 99% of the time.
