which way do I look at this plug?

I'm trying to figure out which pin is 1R from this diagram HAILERS gave me. I don't know which direction to look at it.

can you phrase it: "look at it from the pin side" or "look at it from the wire side"?

you unplug the harness and look that ecu... not at the harness. so it would be the wire side acording to your question.
