Which way clock or counter clock? Sorry for stupid question

May have carbon lock. After squirting in MMO or ATF and facing the front of engine, I assume a counter clockwise turn on the eccentic shaft will rotate the rotors in a reverse direction. Am I correct?

If you are standing infront of the car.... looking at the front of the engine.... the rotors spin clockwise. Spining them counterclock wise from this view would make them go backwards, which I have heard is a bad thing.

Having searched thru a zillion posts the best comments I read suggest that once MMO or ATF is squirted several easy attempts over a few days to rotate the rotors in reverse might help break the particle(s) causing the seize (if it is indeed a lock and not jammed seal). Rotating in normal forward spinn could actually jam it in harded and score the facing. Make sense?

NO. You have it backwards! Virtually every engine including this one turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE viewed this way (including aircraft without gear reduction). Turning it clockwise is backwards!!!!!

3bpower got it right. He explained how he is viewing the engine looking from front to rear. The engine turns clockwise if viewed like that. But it's cackhanded if looked from the drivers seat.
