at low speeds i can sometimes hear water splashing around right behind my left ear. has anyone had this problem?
i wanna try to get that all out of there because sitting water and metal is never a good thing.

I hear that also. My interior is pretty much gutted(ask Vosko). I think that it's just the gas moving around in the tank. It only happens sometimes, though. I haven't sound any sitting water, so I figure that's what it is....
you could possibly have water between th body panels and the inside panels.
open the back hatch and look on either side. you should see two drain holes for water that comes in around the back glass. if you take the spare tire cover off and look underneath, there are clear 1/2 inch plastic tubes that run from both of these. if one of the tubes is gone. there is your problem. water is justy running into your car. find the pipe and put it back on the end of the hole. chances are, it has also come out of the drain hole on the other end (or that could be your only problem if both hoses are still attached on top. there is a hole the exact same size as the pipe that you will have to reach in and feel around for.(try to find someone with skinny arms) if the pipe is mashed or bent at the end you will have to make it round so that it will fit. jam it through the hole and you are done.
you should feel the water if it is in there.
soak it up with a towel or something and then let it air out. that should do it.
oh yeah. i hate this stupid drain design and if anyone knows how to bypass it tell me

There's a good chance one of the sunroof drain hoses is plugged or kinked.  You'll need to tear the interior panels (including the roof liner) to access the hoses.  You can test the drains by opening the sunroof and carefully pouring water into each corner.

I had my passenger rear drain hose kinked in the sail panel - it looks like it was like this from the factory floor.
No way I was going to undo this with a coat hanger - the wire would've probably poked through the soft, rubber hose!
The clog was so bad, all the years of sitting water finally corroded a hole through the sunroof assembly, and rain would soak the rear of my passenger carpet!

check in\side your door panel.
I had a little water in the compartment where the jack is suposed to be after a hard rain. I looked and found a little hole in the seam at the back of the rear wheel well.

I still hear the noise. Like I said before, it's probably coming from the gas sloshing around in the tank. I know it's not coming from anywhere else because there are no hidden area in my car. I have not much of an interior.....Just my two cents....
