i read a while ago that on the intake hose theres a tube that come out of it, and you pull the otherside of that tube off, stick it in a gallon of water and run the engine at 3.5 or 4 grand till the water is gone. i dunno how accurate that is but i would like to know if this is true too because i would like to try it.

well.. no.. itll die that way.. dip the hose for a moment into the water and remove it.. when it gets inside, it will run like *** until the water is out.. if you just let it continually suck water, it will die and not revive itself.. just go.. *dip* (approx 1 second) then by the time your lifting the hose out of the water, the revs will drop.. and when i say drop i mean DROP!! with just that tad of water it will drop to below 2k... keeping 'the revs up' prevents it from dying (stalling).. so when the car runs like normal back at 4k, do another dip..

Amur_ has a neat little "tool" he made for this.. grab an extra line, and get a 'T' shaped fitting.. then when you want to do the treatment, grab one of your intake vac lines, and install the T shaped tool to it, so the line stays connected essentially, but it splits off into an open line (the one you will dip into the water)..

use demineralized water - not tap - tap sucks..

here is a question. apex seals are apox 1000f to 1600f deg. and adding water may cause seal to get bridle. its like getting metal hot and dropping it into water, makes the metal harder but more prone to brakedge.

I'm not a metalurgist, but... the amount of water you're sending into the chamber is barely a trickle. That's why it takes so long to do it. I don't think it's like immersing metal in water - the comparison is out of scale. I think that by the time the water gets in there (however you're delivering it) and collides with the intake charge and then tumbles into the chamber, it's in a mist. A tiny mist. And only a small portion of that mist is reaching the seal. How much of it is striking the side of the rotor and the walls of the chamber?
