Water spraying out of the block

car started to run hot this morning on my way to work. I pulled over to see where water was coming out (the low coolant light came on) and it was coming out between the blocks, under the intake,,,,,,a nice steady little spout of steam........so instead of chancing it i called the wrecker and had her taken home.

i thought it was the thermostat the other day so i took it out and she seemed to do fine,,,,,,,,i guess it just wasnt getting hot enough to build pressure to blow out the block seam. I checked oil and at least no water is going in there.

ANYWAY ....to my point. Im going to take this motor and trans (5spd) out since she still runs good and has good comp and sell her. It has about 94000 miles on it runs nice and steady (except the damn idle),,,,,has 93-95 comp on front rotor and 94-96 psi on back rotor. Its still in car, its all stock,,,,,car can be driven for buyer to inspect motor,,and i would prefer buyer to remove motor of at least be there when i remove so they know its being done right.

What would be a good starting price to ask for this COMPLETE motor and trans ( with driveshaft, shifter, and anything bolted to that motor),,,,,,,,,,
-------------------------------------
edit//////

im selling because im damn tired of that little tonka toy motor,,,,,im tired if trying to figure that thing out,,,,for a measly 150 hp,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,putting the motor out of my corvette in there and going to back it up with a nice 5 spd,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Do something really fun, like a 20BT. That would blow the 150hp away and it would still be a rotary...and would be much better than the vette engine! C'mon now!!

You gotta wait til they turbocharge that thing. You know they're gonna do it. Please, for the love of real sports cars, they have to do it!!

Anyway, I tried. Good luck!

I wouldn't buy an RX-8, think of the mods you could perform for that amount of money..
