Water injection for my T2, bought the first piece today

Saw this on e-bay and couldnt pass it up, plus my overflow has some spiderwebbing in the top corner so if i ever need one i have a brand new one

these are the early 86 overflow that go on the fenderwall by the coils and fusebox

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

I was originally going to use the washer fluid resevoir since its already there and you could use water or water/alky as washer fluid if needed. I have never used my washer fluid since i live in arizona but may be moving to california where there is way more rain and less heat, so i think ill keep it. makes me wonder if i want to fix my rear windshield wiper........

I'm wondering if it will hold up to alcohol as i think ill run 50/50 water/alky

still have to get a pump, and then i want to get a low level meter and hook it up to a light or something
going to get a solenoid and a boost sensor too

run the tank then solenoid and then pump and then find the right size nozzle for the job

im going to run this in the elbow after the TMIC just before the TB. I'm worried about how the water is going to distribute between the 3 barrels of the throttlebody. I may end up placing it in the front of the intercooler but that would let it drip down into the turbo so i think ill just stick with my current plan

I'm going to use a 60psi pump so the tank doesnt have to be pressurised.

I'm doing this as a bandage to keep the stock intercooler. I'm going to put a small hybrid on eventually (V or H trim) and want to get an RTek.

Right now I have a FD fuel pump and F-Con waiting to go into my car and am pieceing together a TID to help pass emissions because of intake leaks from shitty stock cracked TID

I'll update before I put it together

Pretty interesting project you got here, i didnt know 86's had those bottles by the coils. Depending on how your project goes i might look into it for when i get my fmic.

One of my friends has a supercharged miata with a water injection system on it. He mixes his with a mix of alchy and water.

wouldnt the injection right after the supercharge been slightly more effective, or for water injection on the manifold is best? just my logic kicking in here but as soon as its pressurized and heated cool it off again? not let it travel a good 3 feet more then get cooled?

that seems like a good spot, i would probably put it just before the bend so it has some time to get a better spray

thats what im worried about, even spray between all 3 barrels of the throttlebody
