water injection or FMIC ?
what u guys think ? should i get for my 13BT and stock turbo (for now, upgrade to some T04? in few months) water injection kit instead of FMIC ?
FMIC is $950 (greddy, rx7store.net)
mapable WI kit 2S is $645 (aquamist, 3sxperformance.com)
Of course WI kit is much easier/cheaper to ship/take over to europe

Water injection would be great man! But what are you plans with boost? If you are going to much over 12psi (That is not based on fact but personal preference with the stock mount).
The FMIC would great and probally your best bet for now. But if you could do both that would be great.
I am not sure what kind of opinions you get on water injection. From what I have read in aviation books it is NOT a bandaid. It is an effective tool.
Some folk have said if it fails what are going to do? Pop your motor. I would say....what if your fuel injector dies. You pop your motor.

Ok...Now Im not 100% sure on how water injection works so excuse me if Im just stupid ... But I KNOW youd run out of water at somepoint and thats what I dont like about it. You never run out of air, and if you do, youve got bigger problems then keeping your car running healthy. Id just go for the FMIC if I were you.
Personally i would go with WI/AI first, becuase you won't be trying to push all that extra air through a giant FMIC.
You will be working the stock turbo very hard with the FMIC.

You can run your car out of oil too but you check it. Same thing with water injection. I believe on one of aquamists finer systems they have a provision for low water conditions.

Water injection is and old and tried method of intake cooling. I don't care what Mr. Corky Bell says. I'd say go for the water system and make sure the water is demineralized, with a tad bit of some sort of mixture that keeps it from freezing. i.e. alcohol, methanol, or nitromethane. It should be included in your water injection kit. As far as running out of water......You'll just have to be a little more responsible.

The nitromethane Should keep it from freezing alittle better than the others you posted. My chem teacher last year told me that it freezes once in a blue moon, as in hardly ever. And it should be micible in water, seeing as how they will both have ionic bonds in them. Thats what it calculates out to anyways. I would like to hear more about this water cooling thing. Can someone pm me a thing about this? It seems interesting.

Then check out the best water injection system. There was already a GB on it a week ago.
