Will the engine be less reliable with water injection. Also how much of a horsepower gain does water injection cause.

 

Water injection presents NO appreciable horsepower gain by itself. ITs a KNOCK SUPPRESSANT thats usage is slowly being phased out by Alcohol and Methanol.

All water injection does is counteract the effects of knock in high HP applications where the octane of the fuel isnt up to standards.
