Question Washing your TII

Dumb question!
I was a little concerned about the hood scoop and how water could get into your engine bay.
Does everyone wash their TII with by hand??

Being that I dont own a T2(saving for an FD ) I could be wrong, but I really dont think that it matters, being that the scoop only leads to the intercooler anyway, and even if you did get water into your engine bay that It wouldnt hurt anything. I degrease mine engine like once a month, and spray it off with a hose. If your worried though, just let it cool off a little b4 you wash it, just incase. Hope I helped.

Yep.

Only thing you don't want to do it get cold water on a hot engine, especially the exhaust port or turbo.

Any water that you get on the intercooler should run down the back of the engine, since that is where the air escapes. I don't think you'll have any problems getting water in there by accident. You might even get some of the dust and dirt out of the intercooler fins.
