From post 1 until now I held my breath!!! I was waiting for a solution to your problem. 5 years ago the exact same thing happened to my 91 S5. Car ran perfect, sprayed it down at the car wash and it backfired and limped all the way home. I checked everything, but before I spent to much cash I had to park it. Sorry this happened to you too.

For the record, I think it was just coincidence that it blew up after being washed. Even if you get a small to moderate volume of water in the engine it can't contribute to blowing it up. I've pressurewashed many engine bays and never had an issue.

It was just it's time to go.

True that. As a latch ditch effort tonight, I ran a vacuum line on my FC into a bucket of water with the engine running at 2-6k rpm for about half an hour lol.... sucked quite a few gallons of water through. I figured I can't make the situation any worse, and at the very least it kinda looked cool. Lol.

That's too much water...LOL
I guess it didn''t do any good eh ? At least you'll see less carbon when you break down the motor.

That sucks.

You were just water diluting your oil with that approach. That's too much water.

I figured. At this point I don't really care anymore though. I'm pulling the engine tomorrow night.
