Warning Buzzer Gos Off But No Waring Light?

OK so my 91 'vert is giving me warning troubles. When I brake hard or even on a short steep hill when cold. I get the warning buzzer telling me something is wrong. However none of my warning lights go off! The all light normally when i start up the car so I figured it might be some other kind of warning but what?

Any help apperciated

Do you know if your oil & coolant warning lights work? It could be one of those is low, but only the buzzer gets triggered.

steady noise or like 5 beeps?

Just check the oil, and the coolant, the coolant does not have to be THAT low for that thing to go off.

bunch of beeps is PS.

Yep, all the lights should come on/self test with the key on engine off IIRC.

I thought it was my coolent the first time, and toped it off. But the last time that happeded, the light came on like its supposed to. The same with the oil warning lights.

Its just a solid beeeep, which would normally be accompanied by the light going off, but no light.

I was just wondering if there are any beeps that would not have a light with it/

I've definitly had my buzzer go off and not have the check oil light come on. I would top off the oil and coolant and drive around to see if the buzzer still sounds.

I didn't have a chance to check the oil befor I left for work the other day. This time I got the oil light plus the buzzer so i topped her off and all is well.

Im still a little confused because EVERY other time i got this beep the warrning light would also go off.
