If those were sold by Racing Beat they would cost a lot more than $50. Pineapple is more than fair on that price.

50 bucks is more than pocket change to some of us. My friend made his out of industro-weld the heavy duty version of JB weld guranteed up to 600 degrees and has yet to have a single problem. works great.

Yeah, i hear that stuff is pretty good. It still pisses me off though, because the regular ol' JB weld is supposed to hold up to 500*, or thats what it said on the package, and i highly doubt they got that hot in the amount of time, the damn temp guage hardly moved.

Its the surface prep and cleaning that is important. You need to THOROUGHLY degrease the part, (This does not mean spray it with brake cleaner!). Then the surface must be prepped with a 60 or 80 grit bead blast. PEOPLE: Go to the MFG's web sites and read the info that is there. EPOXIES are WONDERFUL: When used in the correct application with the correct surface preperation. WTF do you think DEVCON has at least 100 different epoxy compounds. Going to home Depot, lowes or PEP boys and buying a tube of JB weld isn't going to cut it! Research your intended application and follow the friggen directions to a T. Thats way they are there, not because the owners son is an english major and needs a job!

I wish you guys could see, that you shoot yourselfs in the foot by doing things like this.

Rob spends the time/money to make a peice for the very narrow n/a market, then every joe goes out and copies it. Do you guys think that Rob, or anyone else will keep on making neat products for narrow markets when such things happen?

What if I said that Rob could build aftermarket middle intake manifolds? But would'nt because of such dealings. Would'nt that suck?? CJ

You know what? you are right. Instead of trying new things and trying to use our ingenuity to help ourselves rather than paying someone else more money than they are worth is the best idea i have ever heard. Yeah, i blew my engine, big deal, i learned more about myself, and my car than if i would have just paid the money. Now making a manifold? that would be easy, so long as i tig weld it and not JB Weld it.

"JB"
