???

Little too steep for a race car. I have to figure on replacing these at least once a year.

Yeah, sheet metal would probably be an easy solution if you're expecting that much damage. Any good fabricator can make an FC style door pretty easily.

Found them at Japco for $125 each. They also sell hoods and fenders.

Most likely low quality but who cares for a racing application. It is more important to have light weight.

hehe....too steep for a race car? I wasn't aware that this term existed I thought the term was too steep for a STREET car....I should forward this to ferrari and tell them that their 2 million dollar F1 cars are too expensive

edit: keep in mind this old addage I share with my drag racing buddies " if you want to get into racing take a $100 bill and flush it down the toilet...if that doesn't bother you than go racing"

Just out of curiousity, why not just use the skin off a factory FC door? With the metal thickness, you can't be saving much weight with glass doors. Just the ease of fabrication?

I have the door just about down to the skin now but it still has the hinges and upper glass surround. They still weigh in excess of 20 lbs. Lightweight F/G doors will be in the 4 lb area. I looked at getting rid of the upper portion but the car gets real ugly when you do that not to mention the aero gets worse.
