Wanna pull out stereo related wiring.

I am thinking about pulling out all the wiring related to speakers and what not on my 7, just got some alpine stuff for cheap and I want to put it in. I know I will not need any of the speaker amplifiers that came with the car and I want to put larger gague wiring in for the speakers. Is it more trouble than it is worth or what pulling out all the old stuff and putting new stuff in? Or should I just put the new stuf in over the olde?

Don't waste your time. You'd have to tear the whole car apart. Just take the amps out and run new wires.

Im half way done with it. All i have left is the underdash wiring. Just a matter of time, its not hard. And you dont need to pull carpeting. All the stero wiring goes from the pass rear tower and wraps around the back of car, up to drivers door, then it goes up against the bottem of the door jamp up under the dash

I was originally looking to just take out the amps but then I got to thinking about taking all the other related stereo wiring out. As for tearing the car apart, it is nothing as of now. The dash and everything is taken out... just something I do when I get a new car, tear it all apart and see how it works then try to put it back together

But what's the point? What's the advantage after all that work? None that I can see...
