Walmart done f***** up

Could changing the weight of the oil and also going from synthetic to conventional cause a 140k plus mi. rotary to malfunction? The car has had the same oil weight/blend put in it for a long time. Thanks

If my fc was fwd I'd drive in reverse, and I am already hazardous moving forward. And if the focus could somehow move from arc reactors to rotors, the world might be a safer place.

Are you going to tell us how the car is malfunctioning or is it one of those super secrets.

I swerved to miss an obstacle on the freeway and my passenger tires hit dirt and whatever else. Just want to make sure what happened from there was not from being stingy and getting my oil changed at walmart.

Changing the "weight" can cause damage if the "weight" is not within the specifications recommended in the owner's manual. For example, if thin ATF or thick gear oil were accidentally put in the engine, then damage would likely result.

Going from synthetic to conventional will not cause any problems. However, some types of synthetic oils and blends are not compatible with rotary engines, so the damage could have been caused by the synthetic oil over time and it is just now beginning to cause problems.

140k plus miles can cause the rotary to malfunction too. It's simple geriatrics.

While this may come as a shock, driving off the road does tend to ruin cars. Also, taking drugs will tend to cause you to drive off the road more than usual. Just food for thought.

Did it develop a valve tick after the oil change? If so the oil they put in is way too thin and you better take it back to WalMart. Or better yet take it to a MAZDA dealer.

Definitely was not drunk when I posted. Don't smoke that often either. Just trying to swype out my posts quickly in my business class.

I keep waiting for the seemingly inevitable 'Mods, please delete this- jackasses at work hijacked my account.'

It has to happen... soon.... I hope.
