Mine was quiet....until i rewired it to get well over 13v (when not on the resistor relay). Now its like haveing a little jet engine back there.

But it's ok the exhaust drowns it out.

if the noise bothers you that much try adding some sound deadening material around the area or you can have a dual supra fuel pump setup

It flows more. If that's how you define better, then yes.

A fuel pump should be sized for the power application. That being said, is the walbro better than the stock fuel pump on a stock NA application? Some would argue yes, but I think the difference is negligible. You might run even richer and lose power and mileage. Now is the Walbro better on an upgraded turbo setup with a streetport than the stock fuel pump? The answer is probably yes.

Everything I've ever heard is that a Walbro is horrible for a stock N/A.

Have you tried sound insulation? If so, does it work?

Ditto, a stock TII fuel pump is a more appropriate upgrade for a heavily modified NA. Along with a TII pressure reg.

But, the stock fuel system in an NA is actually quite beefy as far as NA's go. But, I don't know your mods... so I can't begin to say if you need more than that. But a walbro is probably overkill.

Just got the car back. I haven't had a chance to try any sound insulation. I just turn the radio up.

Cut up an old neoprene mouse pad and use it for insulation, I did that on my old truck with its loud fuel pump (just remember to add grounding)
