walbro direct drop in? on t2? or rewiring required??

walbro direct drop in? on t2? or rewiring required??

ive heard alot of mixed message on the walbro 255, i have an 87 turbo II, i know the t2 has duel voltage like 9v then 12v...

can i just drop the walbro in and have it work right?? or am i going to have to rewire somthing?? to get rid of the duel voltage setup??? if so what do i do exactly??? been searching but didnt find a clear answer....

mine dropped right in, all you have to do is hook up the new wires off the walbro

It is a direct replacement, but if you're upgrading ghe pump you should make sure it's getting the electrical grunt it needs. Rewiring the fuel pump considerably lowers the voltage drop between the battety and the pump, and if it's done properly will keep the 2-speed system working normally. Read this:
