Walbro bogging when I'm low on gas?
Just installed the walbro a few days ago, drove it around the last couple days acted just fine. Last night going to the meet, had 1/8th of a tank and the car shook for a few seconds then started backfiring/popping alot. Pulled over, idled it and it went back to normal, few minutes later, same thing.
I went to a gas station later on and filled it up and it went away
and started slightly acting up for a few seconds after I got under 1/2 tank again. I've heard they tend to do this at times because thats the nature of walbro, is that true? Any insight? Thanks.

My friend had a walbro in his TII for a while before he sold the car and told me he always ran it on E since he was always strapped for cash back then and couldn't fill it up, it couldnt be the nature of the unit now, unless his is a diff model? Weird..
I'm assuming you changed the fuel filter when you changed the pump? Anyways if you have alot of crud floating around in your tank when you get low on gas it may begin to clog the filter.
Another point is that the gasoline helps to keep the walbro cool so it doesnt overheat.

I pulled it again, for me it looks like it sits at an angle, but the fuel level sensor (atleast thats what i think it is) is still above it (the sock filter), doesnt seem to be a prob unless i am wrong..
