W140AX Supercharger?
Bleh, yea, another supercharger thread.
I really like the idea of the supercharger. I know turbo's will give a higher output, but I mostly care about boosting the low down torque.
Anywho, http://www.injectedengineering.com/s...roducts_id=364
and maybe http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/...sp?ProdID=1226
??
I typed W140AX into the search and it came up with nothing, so I was wondering why no one would try to make it fit. I know the manifold would need to be custom, but i know the rx7club has lots of really good fabricators.
Still deciding between an SC or a really small turbo. I want boost as soon as the gas is pressed. Guess I will have to look more into it. I have also been looking at some bahn brenner.

^^ for that one I guess I will have to look into if I can put it sideways. My friend has one in his GTI and it is great. It is very small in size. Might fit where the A/C or P/S is. I like the output and input. With this one, I was trying to figure out if I put it where the A/C is it, and then ran the output to one of the TMIC's that come with the car, then use all the T2 stuff. Would that work? Or what complications am I missing? I am not too worried about plumping. I just need oil lines etc.
Where did the boost section go? i was going to post this in the boost section.

The last one you linked probably doesn't flow enough. There have been a few various whipple charged cars through the years, but the general idea is that the cost far exceeds the gains, especially compared to turbo.
Not just fabricating stuff to fit, but you would have to figure out a pulley, possibley custom, to figure out your boost.
I would go with a small fast spooling expensive turbo, and still be cheaper than the turbo. I am not looking for peak hp myself either. I was looking into a gt30 turbo, and that is considered small for a rotary.
I had a buddy that had a supercharger on his 4cyl and it still took him 3K to feel power. He didnt specify what supercharger he had though. It was on a 318 bmw.

Alright, gotta pop in here. I run the old school camden on my 1/2 bridge and I really like the drive ability of it and the midrange torque is fantastic. A modern whipple would be far superior, but a fabricators delight if you have to pay the bill. The rotary already has great exhaust energy and tons of turbo options. Personally, a standalone, premium exhaust header, appropriately sized BB turbo will provide all the midrange and response you are looking for and much much more peak hp than a s/c. I do hope one day to complete my experiment by blowing through the supercharger (at least a year away). Been done successfully with a Volvo already http://www.hilmersson-racing.com/start.asp?show=ec

Thanks for the responses. I guess I will have to look into some smaller turbos. I would really like to see spool up as low as 2k. Maybe 3k.
Not doing it really soon, but just researching.
