vote for European section on rx7forum.com

Its sad to see Australian, Canadian and parts of america's in regional sections but not European one...(i don`t think that Europe is too small for being there as well..)

From what i saw in last weeks, there is couple of us who could talk there local problems like availibility of parts/cars for sale in europe and stuff like that....

Please, save this tread unnecessary talks, if u have anything to say and it belongs it here, say it. As well, write here what everything we should have there...(THIS GOES TO NODE AND OTHER **** TALKERS WHO HAS NOTHING FACT BUT NEEDS TO PLACE POST AND MAKE THREAD MESSY)

And for last it should show up how much of us is here and which cars we do have...

I know at least 3 guys from Greece with TIIs, and that there are at least 9-10 people from Europe, which I have talked to.

I only saw two votes at this time, but I guess it'll go up

Anyone willing to drive an RX-7 where gas costs $5 a gallon (how many Euros per Liter is that?) deserves a bump

I personnaly think you would get bored with your own section in a few weeks. If there is only a handful of european members then maybe just PMing them would surfice; or just post in the gen specific sections. The biggest problem with most forums IMO is that there are to many sections. If I have a question and there is 35 different sections; where do I post it? And if I post it in this one particular section will anybody actually see it. We can not clutter up this forum with tons of different sections. The administrators have already eliminated a few which IMO helped speed things up. Instead of posting in the gen specific tech section and waiting a week to get one reply, now you just post in the gen specific section and you get 5 replies in an hour. You should not feel left out; to me the only reason the regional sections exist is to help members organize meets and discus local shops. Those sections are still kinda slow in terms of response. And with the limited number of members outside the U.S and canada, the section would not very well serve the purpose of organizing meets or discussing nonexisting shops. I think if you just stuck to this particular section you would learn all you need to know and PMing is a very good alternative. And once the chat room gets moving things will be even better for people trying to discuss individual concerns.

Lets not make any more sections, please.

I live in Sweden, and i think we´d be alone..... there is not so may rotay enthusiasts here, I know a couple in Belgium and England, plus of couarse the Swedish ROtary Society with abut 85 members, but they have mostly RX3, RX4 and the SA22.
Higgi, i think we sould stick to the big forums, i agree that there is too many allready!

Yes, we always will be on big forums, but i`m sure there are such thing we should discuss in our regional part. Are you getting all your mods from USA ? I know that european market is dead for FC mods, but still there are such things which are different for us and placing some kinds of questions in forum where everyone will send you to walmart, autozone or radioshack is not the best.....

Whatever i`ll do and will be able to make it for more of you (fabricate), i would post it there, because price of shipping would not make it worth of shipping to states.....

These are mine reasons to say YES

(look at it just like to another regional section of this forum, u`ll see what is it about...)

Of couarse you have a point, but i think there is too many post everywhere right now, i want all in the same place!

Mechanic things such as exhaust and downpipes, buy it from England, it is cheaper, they make thier own stainless steel systems mostly, but specialthings such as S-AFC, turbotimers, pulleys, and other stuff, i bought from US. RP, Mazdatrix, Cybersspace Automotive, Alamo Motorsports - they all ship to europe and even though it is expensive, it is still chepaer than buying from Japan!

ok, we are at point right now, where should i get downpipe for good price ?

Posting this question here in general FC section would give me tens of answers like RB etc...but thats not what i want
I don`t think that its problem for Admins to set this up, we would not have too much posts there, but for these which will be there, we would know thats talk of us, European guys and no Node and other post freaks would be spamming us there ;o))

Its not big deal, there is nothing to loose, just gain....

ie i could rent big track (used for bike races) here in cz for weekend in summer and we could make european meeting of RX-7 guys, i know it would not be sevenstock, but germany seems to have quite RX-7s and lot of guys are there in clubs.....they just don`t seem to be skilled in english enough to come here to forum....

Dp in europe! (Sounds like a porno!)

Try these in England:

http://www.rotechniks.co.uk/

http://www.wgtautodevelopments.co.uk/

It is no cheap, but the prices for shipping is half the price against the airfares from US. Good luck!

Not that I'm european or have much to say about it...
well considering 3+ are from greece, and im guessing a few from UK, it would be nice for gatherings and meets. I know that the NE USA forum is used quite a lot for regional meetings and whatnot.
Also would help you locate good rotary mechanics

Damn Kelimutu, I needed these sites

The fact that the European section wont have too much in it wont matter to you US guys, but it would be a great help for as Euro dudes. I say we do it (and I also voted first )

Gas prices ? Well, I always use 98 Oct, which right is 255 drc or 0,75 Eur per liter, or 969 drc / 2,85 Eur per gallon, which equals to 2,7 bucks/gallon. How about THAT ?????

In the netherlands we have a RX-7 club with about 100-150 members, and I think I´m the only registered dutch member on this forum. There just are a few (one??) good rotary-shops in the netherlands (www.mazdarx-7.nl) but they don´t have aftermarket performance stuff in stock. European companies who do sell this stuff import it from japan or the us, they also have to pay for shipment and have to make profit so buying it from the US yourself will be cheaper.

The only benefit from an european section might be group-buys so we can get a discount on parts and shipment, but that also will be difficult. I´ve ordered Racing Beat Ignitionwires a few months ago from RX-7 store (one of our sponsors) but I haven´t got it yet.

Marco.

i imported my car this year myself from Georgia (thanks to all guys in Atlanta, at most to Sam@atlantarx7, Rotorboy and David88vert ! :O)

Previous owner - Deeperimage.com

About ordering stuff from us, i found "trick" which works here in cz, not sure about another countries......If i`ll let company i order from ship it to my friend in usa first and resend it by us mail air, it would be slightly more expensive on shipping, but i`m sure about when it goes and so AND i don`t pay import taxes and duties here in cz (because its not sent like bussiness package, but like personal package from another person).

And since i have some relatives and other friends in states, i`m going only this way, its saving me like 50% of price which is taxes and duties here.......

Idea with group buys is good, and about meeting, let me guys know, i would love to make it here in cz for you, road track, accomodation, cheap gas (cheaper than in western europe) is no problem......We just need to set some term and then we would work it out.....about 10 guys could be expected locally......
