i can get ahold of a late 80's Volvo FMIC for very cheap. It's from a 740 turbo. Its in excellent condition 2.5" in's and out's. It's approx. 20x18x1.5. Has anyone done a front mount with a similar or same IC. Also is there any gain from this (is it worth the hassle) or am i better off staying with my TMIC. Thanks

I have always wondered something, has anyone ever seen the intercooler in thos 18 wheeler volvo trucks?? Those things are the size of a aftermarket fmic. So i wonder if there is a junkyard where you can get a ic off a 18 wheeler and how much it would cost??? Just a thought...

You just have to search and find it. I know he did it, because I sold him the 740 Turbo IC!


Also you can't use an 18 wheeler IC, unless you have it cut down by over half! Most of those IC's are the size of the front of the truck. You can use an Izuzu NPR intercooler, but one out of a full size semi, will not even come close to fitting. And the 740 turbo Volvo IC, takes alot of work to get it to fit, you have to relocate alot of stuff in front of the raditator...
