Thick walled ABS piping (like used in shop floor drainage pipes) is cheap (like 50 cents per foot) and will definitely not flex at all under heat and can handle tones of pressure.
Don't even bother with PVC and other stuff. That ABS will work, but if it were me I would just go to a local muffler shop and get them to cut/bend some thin walled exhaust piping, and your total shouldn't be more than $30-50.

Next year I'm going to ask all rotary powerd race cars at IDRC and NHRA why they are not jumping on the JUNKYARD wars bandwagon.

I've got 2 starion cores welded together with custom end tanks in one huge intercooler on my 2nd gen. Cost less than $150. Flows and cools like a champ. Viva junkyard wars! I refuse to pay high $$$ for something I can make myself. Does it work as well? Maybe or maybe not but the difference is NOT worth paying the extra several hundred dollars for IMO.
You guys need to calm down and stop getting personal. If you don't like something then don't do it. Just don't flame the next guy for it.

My point exactly, I derive aa certain sense of satisfaction by building my own stuff. An added plus is I don't dread the Credit Card Bill coming in every month.
