Very strange electrical problem (NOT WIPERS OR LIGHTS :D)
I have an s4 Turbo that I have recently finished rebuilding from the ground up. I replaced almost everything in the engine bay, save the wiring harness. sadly the wiring harness is the only thing giving me problems right now.
MODS: RB turbo-back exhaust, eBay intake, s5 turbo w/ ported wastegate@stock boost, stock cleaned injectors (going to put in 720cc secondaries and a 255 pump with an Rtek 1.7 later)
Whenever I accelerate hard (more than 1/2 Throttle) the horn starts to go off in a chattering sort of way, and not only that but whenever that happens I get a loss of power!
I have looked over the wires in my engine bay and I can't see anything flagrantly wrong, but it seems like something is rubbing. what would cause the loss of power though???
next week I'm getting an Rtek 1.7 installed, and I'm kinda praying that will somehow help, since the power loss might not be caused by the beeping. any suggestions?

Well, as for the loss of power, Im not sure, but are you sure its the horn and not a warning buzzer? You could be low on oil or coolant, and when accelerating hard, it sloshes away from the sensor, making the buzzer go off (the same buzzer that goes off at redline)
If its not the warning buzzer, then Id say that you're getting a short in the front harness, a power wire has rubbed through and is grounding on the chassis as part of the harness swings backwards under accel or something.

thats what I was thinking topless. and no, its definitely the horn, not a warning buzzer. but could a wire that goes to the horn getting extra ground cause power loss?
