vert springs into a coupe. Yes, I searched.
Recently picked up a forum member's RX-7. two owners ago, they cut the damn springs so low I couldn't get the car on my trailer.
I want to put some height back.
I have a 91 vert that I am parting out. wondering if I can use the whole strut assemblies to put on the coupe.
I know verts are stiffer, but can't be any worse that the garbage that is on now.......
Yes, I searched but no dice.....

from my research it would seem that the racingbeat vert springs were more of a softer spring with less of a drop, I guess they figured make the vert spring a little more tame.
I dont know everything about springs, but the rates are lower, and the drop is less on thier vert front springs versus the coupe springs, but the rear is only slightly higher- because the *** of verts are a little heavier.
vert:
These springs have been designed with a rate increase of approximately 20% (front - 139 lb/in) and 20% (rear - 134 lb/in) with a modest drop of 1/2-inch (front and rear).
coupe:
These springs have been designed with a rate increase of approximately 20% (front - 156 lb/in) and 20% (rear – 128 lb/in) with a modest drop of 1-inch (front and rear).
BTW- I went with brand new coupe springs on my vert, I wanted more then a 1/2 drop.
so to the original poster- go ahead and use em if you got em.
