I have a second gen convertible. The motor runs the regulator through a pair of cables. Just like motorcycle cables. The problem is that the cable are shot.

Does anyone know of someone who makes custom cables? They would need a "swedge" tool to crimp the lead ends on the cables. I have the original cables to use as a template.

Go to any bicycle shop and ask for brake cables. Home Depot has the crimp ends. It's a pain but it's a $10.00 fix for a $250.00+ replacement. Good luck
