vert and coupe parts compatable?

vert and coupe parts compatable?

hello i have an 86 gxl thats totaled in the front and was wondering if i was to buy a vert would the performance parts i have for the coupe go on? i have Tokico illuminas with eibachs, strut tower braces front and rear, rebuilt motor with ful header, high flow cat and Apexi dunk, i have alot of other aftermarket stuff too please help. thanx in advance. well i think all the after market stuff you have weill go on jsut fine with the exception of the tokios and eibachs
i say this not ffrom experiance but cuz racing beat offers a vert only coilover system
i may be wrong but not sure

Most everything for the coupe will fit the vert. The only that sometimes has a problem is exhaust. The Vert has an extra brace that is usually in the way, you might check on it.

The struts and shocks should fit i think. The front brace will fit, the rear i don't think will.

You can move all the stuff except the shocks. You can use them, but you'd rather have the ragtop ones. As for the exhaust, you will need to finetune, but it will fit...

so no matter what i will have probs with the shocks going from the coupe to the vert? and exhaust?

ah man...I can't believe you bumped this...

The verts is the same as far as shocks as any FC. The only difference is when new they used the Turbos shcok valving.

The exhaust cat and cat back are the same. The down pipe/preccats are not the same and many aftermarket down pipe will not fit on a vert unless specifily designed too.

the front brace is the same, the rear will not wiork as there are no rear strut towers
