Vented hood question

I just got a TII engine and vented hood in my car. Question is this. Is there anything i can put inside the vent like chicken wire or soemthing to stop large debree like rocks and stuff from flying into the hole? I know you cant exactly stop rain and dirt and stuff, but im more worried about something flying in and damaging the intercooler or the motor.

Any suggestions are welcome.

wire mesh, chicken wire, ricer wire mesh, chicken wire/ cloth mesh over it, ummmm that's about it unless you want to drill really tiny holes and string it like a tennis racket haha. But seriouls just some sort of wire tpye mesh or gate.

you don't need ot keep rain out, I asked a while agoas a noob question just to make sure water wouldn't hurt it, it doesn't. Also if it's just a TII then you shouldn't worry too much about anyhting hurting it, I open the hood an dfind the occasional leaf and a pebble once (the pebble didn't even damage my intercooler fins) so don't worry. I thought yo uhad a reverse scoop or something and din't want anthing falling down into a radiator fan or soemthing. Stock TI engine w/ stock TII hood is fine by itself but if you ant you could put some chickenwire near the back, only problem would be is if it catches something, you wouldn't be able to get it out of the hood.

i can tell you that on a t2, the scoop just goes directly on onto the intercooler, and that, with 46000 mi on my car, theres no sign that a rock has ever hit the intercooler so you should be fine

also, water really only gets in when i raise the hood when its wet ,and tht doesnt hurt anything

you should be fine
