That is why I call them aux ports.

And my take on them...

On lightly ported engines to stock engines, the posts will only be an advantage. There is a major loss in low end torque with them not operating. Simularly the VDI works best utilizing the dynamic pulses caused the the ports closing.

With heavy ported engines or forced induction engines, you are better off not using the aux ports, but rather the biggest port area and latest time possible.

On a forced induction motor, the dynamic pulses are almost completly masked by the increased pressure on the induction track. Therefore again the VDI is pretty useless. On a normally asperated motor, that is heavily ported, the VDI timing will need to be checked by dyno tuning as the stock VDI timing is based on the stock intake runners and timing.

I know this is way off topic, but what do you guys think about using fiberglass and epoxy for the supercharger intake adapter instead of metal? I would think it would be easier to work with and make a more desirable shape. I'm mostly worried about it not holding up....

I really wouldnt trust that, what if part of it breaks off or something and flies into your TB/engine, that wouldnt be cool, and that doesnt seem as durable as steel, although shaping it would be a plus!
